Los alumnos ERASMUS PLUS del IES José María Infantes devolvemos la visita a nuestros compañeros de Soest, Alemania para seguir trabajando en nuestro proyecto STEPS sobre el turismo sostenible. Ambos centros compartimos el interés por el arte: plástico y teatral en Utrera; musical y digital en Soest. Aprendemos unos de otros y conocemos los recursos turísticos de nuestras regiones
Ha sido una semana espectacular. Hemos tenido una acogida muy calurosa. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Hemos participado en actividades conjuntas y hemos aprendido muchas cosas que nos diferencian y que nos unen. Como dice el refrán, En Alemania, o llueve (nos diferencia) o suenan las campanas (nos une).
Quince estudiantes de 3º ESO, acompañados de 3 docentes, nos alojamos en el Albergue Juvenil de Soest. En previsión de posibles contagios debido a la COVID 19, habíamos decidido formar un grupo burbuja. No pudimos alojarnos en familias, pero eso no impidió que compartiéramos momentos con ellas y conociéramos de primera mano las costumbres del país, como las comidas, los transportes sostenibles o el sistema de reciclaje de los plásticos.
Llegamos un viernes por la noche. Durante el fin de semana disfrutamos de ACTIVIDADES MÁS LÚDICAS, que a la vez son el trabajo de campo de nuestro proyecto. Las familias habían preparado una cena de bienvenida en el jardín del instituto, que se trasladó al interior por la lluvia (la coordinadora siempre tenía preparado un plan B).
Visitamos Münster, preciosa cuidad renacentista, famosa por sus bicicletas (300.000 habitantes y un millón de bicis), su universidad o el sonido de las campanas. En el museo de Arte & Cultura LWL participamos un taller de montaje de fotos muy divertido y en una gymkhana. Conocimos el lago Möhnesee y disfrutamos de unas vistas increíbles desde la torre Leuchtturm
El lunes nos recibió la banda de música del Archigymnasium. Fue un momento muy emotivo. Nos sorprendió el instituto, el Archigymnasium: un impresionante un edificio renacentista con casi 500 años de antigüedad, pero no nos equivoquemos. Desde 2019 (y con la ayuda de nuestro proyecto Erasmus) se convirtió en “Escuela Europea”, de esas que destacan por su cooperación internacional e innovación metodológica.
Después entramso DE LLENO EN EL TRABAJO: dedicamos 3 jornadas por la mañana a aprender a hacer montajes de video para nuestra guía digital. También colaboramos en trabajos artísticos en el Pasillo Europeo. Los minutos de descanso se hacían en Europa Café. Un espacio muy bonito en un gran ventanal en el Pasillo Europeo, donde tomar un café y disfrutar de la decoración de las paredes, llenas de recuerdos de nuestros viajes. Descubrimos que somos parte del Archi.
Por las tardes visitamos Soest, Colonia, el embalse y la residencia escolar del Lago Mönhesee. Aprendimos y disfrutamos de las recetas de pan casero en el taller de Herr von Myra y del museo de chocolate. La lluvia no permitió realizar la actividad de piragüismo, para la que nos habíamos preparado muy bien con nuestro cursillo de natación. Otra vez será. Seguro. Porque con este intercambio hemos creado unos lazos fuertes de amistad. Seguimos en contacto con nuestros compañeros y en un futuro nos volveremos a ver.
Agradecemos el gran trabajo de las profesoras alemanas, Frau Richthoff and Frau Czwikla, del director del instituto, Herr Ross, de las familias, de las empresas y museos que han colaborado en los talleres.
Esta semana ha supuesto un gran avance en nuestro proyecto. Hemos aprendido de nuestros compañeros, hemos conocido otra cultura y hemos crecido un poco como personas.
Esta experiencia no se nos olvidará jamás.
The ERASMUS PLUS students of the IES José María Infantes school pay back the visit to our colleagues from Soest, Germany in order to continue working on our STEPS project on sustainable tourism. Both schools share an interest in art and both focus on different fields: drawing and drama in Utrera; music and IT in Soest. We learn from one another and we learn about the tourist resources of our regions.
It has been a spectacular week. We were heartly welcomed. We felt like being at home. We have participated in many joint activities and we have learned many things that make us different and many things that make us alike. As the proverb says, In Germany, either it rains (that makes us different) or the bells ring (that makes us alike).
Fifteen students in 3rd grade secondary school, accompanied by three teachers, stayed at the Soest Youth Hostel. In order to avoid possible contagion due to COVID 19, we had decided to form a bubble group and we were not hosted by families. However, that fact did not prevent us from sharing moments with the families and knowing first-hand the customs of the country, such as meals, sustainable transports or the plastic recycling system.
We arrived on a Friday night. During the weekend we enjoy more recreational activities, which at the same time are the core work of our project. The families had prepared a welcome dinner for us in the school garden. We had to move indoors due to the rain (luckily, the coordinator always had a plan B ready, as the weather is so unpredictable).
We went to Münster, a beautiful Renaissance city, famous for its bicycles (300,000 inhabitants and a million bikes), its university or the sound of the bells. At the LWL Museum of Art & Culture we took part in a very fun photo montage workshop and in a gymkhana. We visited Lake Möhnesee and enjoyed incredible views from the Leuchtturm tower
On Monday we were received by the music band from the Archigymnasium. It was a very emotional moment. We were amazed by the high school, Archigymnasium: an impressive Renaissance building almost 500 years old, but do not think it is “old”. Since 2019 (and with the help of our Erasmus project) it has become a «European School«, one of those that stand out for their international cooperation and methodological innovation.
Then WE GOT RIGHT INTO WORK: we devoted 3 days in the morning to learn how to make video for our digital guide by using different editors. We also collaborated in artistic works in the European Corner. We made the short breaks in Europa Café, which is a very nice space by a large window in the European Corridor, where you can have a coffee, chat for a while and enjoy the decoration of the walls, full of memories and pictures of our trips. In the afternoons we visited Soest, Cologne, the reservoir and the school residence at Lake Mönhesee. We learned about and enjoyed the homemade bread recipes by Herr von Myra and the chocolate museum. The rain did not allow us to carry out the canoeing activity, for which we had prepared very well with our swimming course. Maybe next time. Sure, because thanks to this school exchange we have created strong bonds of friendship. We keep in touch with our colleagues we will meet again and in the future.
We appreciate the great work of the German teachers, Frau Richthoff and Frau Czwikla, the school director, Herr Ross, the families and companies and museums that have collaborated in the workshops.
This week became a great advance in our project. We learned from our colleagues, we got to know another culture and we have developed our personal skills.
We will never forget the experience.
We feel proud. We feel European.
